Don't have the new birthday products yet? Never fear, you can still create a card using older, must have, birthday products using the challenge colors!  I created the oval base using the Oval Frames die set and pull the pink polka dotted paper from the Birthday Meows paper pad. I then stamped  and colored the image from the Birthday Oval stamp set. I added our favorite feline, Newton, from the Newton Loves Cake stamp set and finished up with a sentiment pulled from the Newton's Cupcake stamp set. Can you image how fun it is going to be to mix and match "older" sets with the new release?  I can'te wait!

I wanted to capture the magic of a sunset (sunrise) on a beach. I created the stitched circle using the Circle Frames die set. I then distressed the ocean in blue and teals. For the sky, I distressed in pink and orange.  I then stamped and colored the kitty from the Newton's Sand Dollar stamp set with Copic markers. I cut using my Brother's Scan 'n' Cut; however there is a coordinating die set if you prefer.  I popped him up using dimensional tape.  I added the circle and cat to the card base. I decided to cut off part of the circle and have a straight edge on the bottom.  I then stamped the sentiment on a stitched banner using  Seashell Roundabout stamp set and the  Banner Trio die set.  It looked bland on the card, so I cut a black banner using the Frames & Flags die set. This helped the sentiment look more dramatic and stand out.  However, the card still needed something, so I finally decided to add the waves using the Waves stencil. This added a bit more color and dimension to my card.

Not only was I inspired by the challenge colors, but also the birthday theme. I began by deciding on a birthday image. Then I decided to use the TOP Inky Inspiration July Sketch (#34). I went through my NND paper stash and found birthday themed papers in the challenge colors.  My papers came from the Birthday Party and the Love & Meows paper pads. After cutting the strips, I adhered them to the white panel.  Then I pulled out some vellum and embossed the clouds using the Petite Clouds stencil.  I cut this using a stitched die from the Oval Frames die set.  I added the balloon image (colored with Copic markers) using dimension tape. After which I adhered the oval onto the white panel.  I used my Misti to position the sentiment and stamped it on my card. This sentiment is from the  Birthday Oval stamp set.  Finally I added the white panel to the dark turquoise card base.

I created this fun shaker card using these darling flamingo elements. For my card, I used the tropical paper from the Summertime paper pad. I used the scalloped-edged frame die from  Frames & Flags die set. For the shaker portion, I stamped and colored with Copic markers the image from the  Flamingo Oval stamp set. I used the Oval Frames die to cut the image out, and then I cut the oval frame. I added the sentiment from the Happy Birthday Roundabout stamp set. This is going to make the cutest card for my sister's 60th birthday!

I created this adorable beach scene. I used the blue glitter paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment with the Sea Borders die set. For my rays of sunshine, I used the Sunscape stencil. I added not one, but two felines from the Newton's Happy Meowr stamp set. I love how cute this turned out, especially with the glitter paper for the water!

My card features the perfect shoes to wear on a nice, sunny day. Those fun sandals are from the Flip-Flop Life stamp set. I compliment the flip-flops with flip-flop paper from the Summertime paper pad. I also use the Framework and the Basic Frames die sets for my layers.

Scuba-Enjoy Your Day

 

When I saw this sketch, I loved it. I decided to go with a playful scene vs. a floral one.  I also had fun making the background.  I've been using lots of pattern papers, so this was a bit of a diversion. I used several shades of blue for the different depths (Distress Oxide inks).

Roses Hello

 

This card showcases roses from the Newton's Nook Designs Roses stamp set. I paired it with NND's Lattice Frame. I wanted the roses to look like they are climbing the lattice. I also added the flora pattern paper from the Carta Bella Botanical Garden. I like the idea of looking through the lattice and seeing the greenery in the distance.
